Awwwards alternatives

Awwwards keeps the web’s most ambitious sites, scored by a jury. Where to look when you want more of them, parts of them, or something it isn’t made for.

The short answer

For more ambitious websites, Siteinspire: hand-picked since 2008, none sponsored, and free. For animated sites, Landing Love records each one as a full-page video. For parts of sites, Details for transitions and preloaders, Mobbin Sites with any paid Mobbin plan, and regards to search 2,760+ sections from 360+ sites by how they look, by you or your agent.

Disclaimer: we make regards, so it’s on this list too, where it fits. Everything said about another gallery comes from its own pages, checked on 17 October 2026, and they’re linked at the end.

What is Awwwards?

Awwwards is a website awards site. Designers and studios enter their own sites, $65 each, and a jury of designers, developers and agencies scores them on design (40%), usability (30%), creativity (20%) and content (10%). The best are given an Honorable Mention, Site of the Day, Site of the Month and, each February, Site of the Year.

That makes it the place to see ambitious web design: its menus lead with animated, scrolling, WebGL and 3D sites. The archive filters by award, category, tag, technology, font and colour, and Elements gathers parts of sites, from heroes, menus and footers to loaders and transitions. Browsing is free; its paid plans are for people who want a profile in its directory and cheaper entries.

Why people look for Awwwards alternatives

  • Sites get in by entering. Makers submit their own work, at $65 a site, and the jury scores what’s entered. Galleries whose editors go out and pick sites show a different slice of the web.
  • Whole sites first. A result is a site and its awards. Elements has parts of sites, but to set twenty footers or pricing sections side by side, a library cut into sections is quicker.
  • Finding a look. You filter by award, category, tag, technology, font and colour. A look with no tag, like “calm and premium” or “like a printed magazine”, is easier to find by describing it.
  • Agents. Awwwards lists no MCP server, so a coding agent can’t search it for references. Several of the galleries below have one.

FAQ

What’s the best alternative to Awwwards?

For more ambitious websites, Siteinspire: hand-picked since 2008, none sponsored, and free. For animated sites, Landing Love records each one as a full-page video. For parts of sites rather than whole ones, Details for transitions and preloaders, and regards to search sections by how they look.

Is Awwwards free?

Browsing is free. Entering a site for an award costs $65, and its paid plans are for designers and studios who want a profile in its directory and cheaper entries.

How does Awwwards pick Site of the Day?

Each entry goes to at least 18 jury members, who score design (40%), usability (30%), creativity (20%) and content (10%). The three scores furthest from the average are dropped and voting lasts five days. The highest score wins Site of the Day; 6.5 or more earns an Honorable Mention.

Is there an Awwwards alternative for AI agents?

Yes. Siteinspire and One Page Love run free MCP servers, Details and Mobbin run theirs too, and regards’ comes with Pro and Studio, searching website sections by look. Awwwards lists none.
