The best web design inspiration sites in 2026, compared
Fourteen places designers look for references, scored by the same eight rules, from what they collect to whether your agent can use them. Which one is best depends on what you’re making.
The short answer
For web design, regards: the best-looking websites, each picked by hand for its look and cut into 2,760+ sections from 360+ sites that you, or your coding agent, search by how they look. For award-winning, experimental sites, Awwwards. For whole landing pages, Land-book, or Lapa Ninja to browse every site free. For a free, hand-picked archive your agent can use too, SiteInspire and One Page Love. For app screens and flows, Mobbin. For moodboards, Savee. Scored on eight criteria, One Page Love comes top overall.
Disclaimer: we make regards, and it’s our pick for web design: the best-looking websites on the web, each picked
by hand for its look and cut into sections you can search by how they look. Every site here, ours included, is
scored by the same eight rules below, with the reason for every score printed under it. By total,
regards comes
joint seventh of 14: it’s smaller than most, adds sites in batches and has no
collections yet. Every fact about another site comes from its own pages, checked on 16 October 2026.
There is no one best place to look. A studio pitching an art-directed site, a founder after a landing page that works, a product designer checking how apps handle onboarding and an art director collecting a mood each want something different. So the ranking comes twice: once by score, then by what you’re making.
How did we score them?
Eight criteria, 1 to 5 each, 40 at most. A 5 means:
- Collects: one of the largest libraries of its kind, years deep.
- Finding: you can search by look, image or meaning, as well as filter.
- Curation: an editor picks every entry, turns most away, and sells no places.
- Freshness: new work every day.
- Sections: pages cut into their sections, so a hero or a footer can be found on its own.
- Saving: boards or collections you can share, and ways to save from anywhere.
- Cost: everything free.
- Agents: your coding agent can search it over MCP, with no account or key.
The total weighs all eight the same, which nobody does: if you never save anything, ignore Saving. Read the columns you care about, then the picks by use under the table.

Which are the best sites for websites?
regards
Best for the best-looking websites, searchable by look, for you or your coding agent.
360+ sites, each picked for how it looks, cut into 2,760+ sections, from heroes and pricing tables to footers: studios, portfolios, fashion and editorial sites as well as products. Describe a look in plain words, leave things out with “not dark”, or name a site to start from, and Deep search looks at the top 60 and puts the best first. Each result opens inside its page, with the live site a click away. Free searches the whole library, 10 searches a day and 5 Deep searches a month; Pro, $20 a month or $200 a year, adds the MCP server for your agent, and the design skill is open source. The catch: a smaller library than most here, new sites in batches rather than a daily feed, and no collections yet.

9,171 one-page sites and 9,342 section examples, picked by hand since 2008, with new ones every day, filtered by genre, style, colour, typeface and platform. Free, and its MCP server needs no key. Since July 2026 it belongs to Some Studio, led by Piet Terheyden. The catch: one-page sites only, and nowhere to save what you find.

Best for award-winning, experimental sites, and the studios behind them.

Filters cover category, tag, technology, country, font and colour; Elements gathers heroes, footers, menus and more; and free collections double as moodboards. The catch: what’s there is what studios paid to enter, so it’s a showcase more than a survey, and its public API covers only the annual awards.

Why search for a look, not a tag?
Most of these sites find things by what they are: a category, a style tag, a colour, a typeface, a kind of section. That gets you “portfolio, minimal, black” in a click. What you can see but can’t file is harder: testimonials that read like a magazine, an about page set like a printed annual report. No tag holds those, and a feed answers them with whatever came in that week.
regards reads every section it keeps for its layout, type, colour, imagery and motion, so you can describe the look
you’re after and get the sections that carry it:
It’s a smaller library than most here, on purpose: 2,760+ sections, each from a site picked for how it looks. When you need every version of a pattern, the bigger libraries win. When you need one good one, a library where every result is worth a look gets you there sooner. To browse instead, start with the hero sections we picked, the dark ones, or a style, from minimalist to bold typography.
Which are the best for app UI?
Mobbin
Best for app screens and flows, and website sections since 2025.
621,500+ screens and 161,000+ flows from iOS and web apps, added to every week since 2018, and since 2025 sections of
websites, by kind and style. Search reads plain words and the text inside screens, with Deep Search, collections,
Copy to Figma and an MCP server on Pro. The catch: Free shows only the latest four apps and four sites, without
search; Pro is $10 a month billed yearly. We compared the two in regards vs Mobbin.

answers a task with references. Its MCP server and Refero Skill come with Pro, $10 a month billed yearly, or a $250 lifetime plan. The catch:

Which ones can your coding agent use?
Seven of the fourteen run an MCP server, so an agent can look up references in the middle of a task: SiteInspire and
One Page Love for free, with no account; Are.na with an Are.na account; Mobbin, Refero, Savee and regards on paid
plans. Awwwards’ public API covers only its annual awards, and Land-book, Lapa Ninja, Minimal Gallery, Recent, Httpster
and Cosmos list none.
What the agent finds is the difference. Most of these servers search names, categories and tags, which is how you find
“portfolio, made in Webflow”. regards’ server searches sections by look, from sites chosen for theirs, shows your
agent each section’s screenshot and reads the whole page around it. Ask it for a hero for an architecture studio, one
photograph and almost no words, and it comes back with heroes like these:

The photograph framed in black like a print on a wall, the architects’ name set small across its top.

A fashion shop’s, but the move carries: one candid photo, a line of small type and two links in a corner.

One orange object on concrete, and the dates set under it like a museum label.
Then it designs from them: the letterbox of the first with the museum’s label, rather than the hero every template has. The design skill makes that a habit, and connecting your agent is one step:
Which web design inspiration sites are free?

- Free for agents: SiteInspire and One Page Love, with no account.
What happened to Godly and Httpster?
- Godly: godly.website redirects to Recent, which says it takes Godly’s place with a broader feed. We listed Godly alternatives.
